Healdsburg’s C3 Launches “WORD/ART · PALABRA/ARTE” to Celebrate April as Arts, Culture & Creativity Month
Celebrating creativity in language throughout April
HEALDSBURG, CA — Supporting April as Arts, Culture & Creativity Month, C3 (Creativity, Culture & Connection), with support from the Healdsburg Arts and Culture Commission, will bring WORD/ART · PALABRA/ARTE to residents and visitors throughout the City of Healdsburg during April 2026.
WORD/ART · PALABRA/ARTE is a month-long, citywide celebration of language-based arts and the many ways words shape how we connect, imagine, and belong. Throughout April, galleries, performance venues, art spaces, shops, restaurants, outdoor public spaces and our movie theater and library will host activities and pop‐ups that highlight words as a vibrant form of art.
From poetry and prose to storytelling, film, theater and spontaneous prompts, WORD/ART will infuse written and spoken language into events and everyday spaces around town—inviting people to notice, linger, and look for more. Residents and visitors alike will encounter playful, thought‐provoking, and participatory experiences designed to spark conversation, reflection, and delight.
WORD/ART aims to offer the community daily touchpoints with word‐based creativity—moments that start conversations, engage thoughts, inspire new ways of seeing language, and build a stronger sense of shared culture and cohesion across Healdsburg.
A subtle but steady stream of “word‐y” art will flow through the city, becoming a common thread of exploration. Some experiences will be planned, others will pop up unexpectedly, but all will be created to be whimsical, engaging, and enlightening.
Anyone and everyone is invited to take part—whether by attending scheduled events, stumbling upon word‐based installations, or adding their own creative voice to the mix.
